(Yes, my Spanish is a disaster.)
Christiana at SF Metroblogging is reporting that Cafe Evolution, which has been open for mere months and yet makes the best damn panini on the coast, is already shutting its doors in a month. Worse, it will re-open under new ownership as a vegan/raw foods restaurant.
This is a disaster for the Inner Sunset. Evolution has been a phenomenal addition to the hood, and a raw/vegan place is no substitute at all. I don't care if it's the French Laundry of raw/vegan bistros. I'd rather eat across the street at Stinky Burger King.
I love that Burger King dude. Vegans, not so much. Because they always give me sidelong glances when I'm enjoying a cheese sandwich.
Perhaps I'm not SF enough, but what the heck do you eat raw other than celery sticks and fruit?
PS - great photos of the MO. I couldn't think of anything clever to say about the Fish Pillow.

Evolution was already a step down the evolution ladder, from einstein cafe, which fed you well and help young delinquents or something delancey foundation-ish like that. Shame they're gone. But there's still Pluto's.

Good point. It was tough to aspire to Einstein, which was remarkably similar to Berkeley's excellent Intermezzo.
