I'm fresh back from a long-awaited vacation to the east coast, which included my first visit to the place of my birth, NYC, in about seven years.
It's been said a million times before, but I'll say it again: New York is over 9/11, more so than just about anywhere else in America. While country singers and Red Staters accuse many of us of "forgetting" the horror and tragedy of that day, it's telling that I saw so few remnants of anger.
This bumper sticker was one of the only examples I spotted in four days. Most New Yorkers I talked to are more pissed off at how slowly construction at the WTC site has proceeded. As Don King would say, only in America.
