The 2009 Rangelife Wild Card Weekend Predictions
For entertainment purposes only. All odds from Yahoo! Sports.
Atlanta Falcons -2 at Arizona Cardinals: The Falcons wield a killer running game, the best rookie QB since Marino, and a much-improved defense. The Cardinals are a one-dimensional team from a rotten division that somebody had to win. Falcons will feast on the clock.
Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers +1.5: Colts won this game in this stadium by a field goal just five weeks ago. While the Colts have won nine straight games, all but two were mighty close. The Chargers, meanwhile, are finally healthy at RB, while the Colts' defense is not. The Colts have better coaching, but the Bolts win on match-ups.
Baltimore Ravens -3 at Miami Dolphins: I watched every Dolphins game this year for the first time since I was, I don't know, 16? And I can report that this is the oddest 11-5 team I've ever seen, a team with no obvious strengths except preparation, innovation, and execution. The Dolphins simply fuck up less than their opponents, which counts for a lot. It's a team Vince Lombardi would love. The Ravens, meanwhile, have been beating the shit out of everybody with a punishing running game and an astonishingly great defense. Among their victims has been this opponent in this stadium. I hope I'm as wrong about this as I was about the election, but the Ravens look like a Super Bowl contender right now, rookie QB and all.
Philadelphia Eagles -3 at Minnesota Vikings: Two great, great defenses. Two great, great do-it-all RBs. But Philly has a more legitimate QB.

3 out of 4 ain't bad at all! I'm going to start ignoring my gut and following you. What's your feeling on Baltimore-Tennessee?
