Freudian Headline
This is the best Freudian slip of a headline I've ever seen. Apparently India's awash in liberal media bias.
US dealing with one of worst natural disasters: Bush
By the way, to those people I'm hearing and reading say things like, "I have little sympathy for these victims in New Orleans who were too stupid to listen to the evacuation orders and are looting and raping and blahblahblah," it's time to face the truth. You're racist.
If Natalee Holloway were drowning in the flood waters, maybe you'd care a little more.
Update: The Rude Pundit sez: "So when the head of FEMA, a poor bastard who's way out of his league named Michael Brown, says, 'The lawlessness, the crime that is occurring, did surprise us,' it's just like saying you didn't know the levees would be breached... To not anticipate looting and lawlessness is a crime of incompetence, a blindness to the wretched poverty so many in New Orleans attempted to exist under, something real and not just exotic and thrilling for whites to touch on for their entertainment."
Update: SkyNews agrees. When Murdoch has turned on you, it's over.
Kanye West Updates: "Bush does not care about black people."

A wise screengrab, that! Ha HA! (said with triumph)
I just got a comment from a friend that Bush gave a speech with Coast Guard helicopters in the background. She asked why the heck those helicopters weren't out rescuing people.
Ya know, I didn't like the looting at first because I think it is bad to steal stuff. I actually believed in our country. I didn't think that a) people would start equating "looter" with "black person" and b) that the national guard would actually show up and restore order. It's like they WANT more pictures of people in desperation. I'm tearing my hair out over here ... and I have a lot of hair, but there won't be much left after this!

That's a great catch; funny as hell because it's true.
Greetings from across the Bay.
